FilmCraft is a free, open-source desktop video editor for macOS, Windows and Linux, with source and program monitors, a multi-track timeline, every trim mode (ripple, roll, slip and slide), color grading with scopes, keyframed effects and transitions, an audio mixer and export with destination presets. Its GitHub README calls it alpha, states a dual MIT or Apache-2.0 license and lists limits such as no AV1 export yet and far less testing on Windows and Linux than on macOS. getartcraft.com lists FilmCraft as “In development” (checked 13 October 2026).
