PdfCraft is a free, open-source PDF app for macOS, Windows and Linux: you can read PDFs with search as you type, rotate, delete, insert and reorder pages, combine, extract and split documents while keeping links, form fields and bookmarks, and protect files with passwords. The official pages say it needs no account, telemetry or cloud and works offline, and its GitHub README calls it alpha, states a dual MIT or Apache-2.0 license and admits that converting is weak, with no Office-to-PDF and a Word export that loses layout. getartcraft.com lists PdfCraft as “Early alpha” (checked 13 October 2026).
