Tools for placing app or website screens inside phone, laptop or tablet frames and showing a design on products such as T-shirts, boxes or business cards. First decide where the image will be used: a store listing, a landing page, social media or a client presentation each need different sizes.
Good to know: Free-use terms vary by tool and plan. When a card lists no tool-specific limit, check quotas, watermarks and export terms on the official page.
Mockuuups Studio is a mockup editor where you drop your design onto thousands of device and print mockups, available in the browser, as a desktop app and through Figma, Sketch, Penpot and Adobe Express plugins.
Placeit is Envato’s web-based design tool offering mockups for apparel, digital devices, print and print-on-demand products, plus a logo maker, design templates and video tools; unlimited downloads come with a subscription.

Create Mockups
What should you compare?
Upload your own screenshot or design and inspect the result at real size: check that text stays sharp inside the frame and that corners and reflections look natural. Export the same scene in a few sizes and see which stays crisp.
For ready-made mockup templates, read the license page for commercial use, attribution and resale terms, and confirm on the official page whether free exports carry a watermark or a resolution limit. Some templates need a separate desktop program such as Photoshop, while others work in the browser.
Can I use mockups in app store screenshots? Stores set screenshot sizes and content rules; check the store’s current guidelines for how far device frames, text or backgrounds are accepted.
Is a mockup the same as an interface prototype? No. A mockup presents a finished design in a realistic scene, while a prototype lets you try a clickable flow between screens. If you want to test a flow, look at UI design and prototyping tools.
